FTII Exam 2022
FTII Application Form 2022:
- 1. Candidates should fill an application form only after ensuring that they fulfil all essential qualifications.
- 2. Only online application should be filled in accordance with the instructions contained therein.
- 3. Only one application will be accepted from one candidate.
- 4. Application forms should be filled up correctly in all respects to avoid their being rejected.
- 5. All candidates will receive an e-mail specifying their Username and Password that allow them to track
the status of their application.
- 6. Candidates should note that the Institute will make no allowance for postal delays while receiving the declaration slips from the applicant.
FTII Exam Date 2022:
- Every year FTII Entrance : Film and Television Institute of India entrance exam held in the month of August. On this year FTII exam will be held on 9th August 2015.
Diploma in Acting
Acting involves hard work, with long and irregular working hours. It can be taken up at any age. Acting is an art and thus then improvement and honing of this craft is a lifelong endeavor, and there is always room for growth.
- Two Year Post Graduate Course.

Eligibility criterion:
- Bachelor’s degree in any discipline.
Selection criteria:
- Written examination can be taken at any one of the selected number of examination centres around the country.
- The written examination will be of 03 hours duration with maximum 100 marks.
- The written examination is to judge the candidates capability, aptitude for medium, creativity, logical thinking, articulation in language, techno-savvyness general awareness, how they engage themselves about social issues, and the team spirit. It also includes General Knowledge.
- Initially, candidates will be shortlisted on the basis of their performance in the written examination. These shortlisted candidates will be then called for an audition. Based on the performance in written test and audition (this result may be called as Result – l), candidates will be further shortlisted for orientation & intensive selection workshop/ interview which will be held at Pune (result of which may be called as Result – II).
- Final merit list will be prepared on the basis of Result— I and Result II with each stage having 50% marks.
Art Direction and Production Design :
Art director design the film or television set to create the mood called for the script, costume , lighting , and the set designers are equally interesting occupations in the film industry.
- Three Year Post Graduate Diploma Course.

Eligibility criterion:
- Bachelor’s Degree in Architecture/ Painting /Applied Arts / Sculpture/ Interior Design in or any related field in the Fine Arts or an equivalent qualification.
Selection criterion:
- The written examination will of 03 hours duration with maximum 100 marks. The written examination is to test aptitude in specialization (sketching ability, awareness of Indian and Western art, architecture & culture etc.)
- The written examination is also to judge the candidates capability, aptitude for medium, creativity, logical
thinking, articulation in language, techno-savvyness general awareness, how they engage themselves about social issues, and the team spirit. It also includes General Knowledge.
- Initially, eligible candidates will be shortlisted on the basis of their performance in the written examination. These candidates will be further called for orientation and a test in drawing & visualization followed by interaction (Jointly may be called as Result – I) and Interview which will be held at Pune.
- Final merit list will be prepared on the basis of written examination, Result — I and Interview with each stage having (20% practical + 30% written) and 30% marks respectively.
Film Screenplay Writing
Screenwriters are creative people, who write a screenplay or revise an existing one, or participate in writing material during planning and/or production phase of the project.
- One Year Post Graduate Certificate Course.

Eligibility criterion:
- Bachelor’s degree in any discipline.
Selection criterion:
- The written examination will be of 03 hours duration with maximum 100 marks. The written examination is to judge the candidates capability, aptitude for medium, creativity, logical thinking, articulation in language, techno-savvyness general awareness, how they engage themselves about social issues, and the team spirit. It
also includes General Knowledge.

TV Direction :
The course aims to develop in students an understanding of the medium of television and production technique besides imparting the skills to handle equipments. The course also aims to inculcate a healthy team spirit essential to efficient and effective work in their professional careers.

Eligibility criteria:
- Bachelor’s degree for all courses except Sound Recording and TV Engineering which requires a Bachelor’s degree in any discipline with Physics as a subject at senior secondary (10+2) level.

- Admit card will be posted well in advance. There is no need to enter into any correspondence or
queries with the Institute. Admit Cards can also be downloaded by all the candidates from the FTII
website www.ftiindia.com. The date from which admit cards are available online will be announced on
the Institute’s website in due course.
- No candidate will be allowed to appear for the examination unless he/she produces the valid Admit
Card to the supervising officer Of the examination center on the day Of the examination.
