- ICAR-JRF (PGS) will be awarded on the basis of merit in the All India Competitive Entrance Examination for (i) ICAR-JRF (PGS) and (ii) concurrent admission to Master’s degree program at State Agricultural Universities (SAUs), Deemed Universities viz.
- IARI (New Delhi) / IVRI (Izatnagar) / NDRI (Karnal) / CIFE (Mumbai) / AAU (Allahabad), Central Agricultural University (Imphal, Manipur), and Central Universities having faculty of agriculture viz. Banaras Hindu University (BHU), Aligarh Muslim University (AMU), Visva Bharti and Nagaland University, collectively hereinafter referred to as the Agricultural Universities (AUs).
- The ICAR-JRF (PGS) will NOT be available for admission in any university other than the AUs as mentioned above.
Updated: The 21 st All India Entrance Examination for Admission to Under Graduate degree programmes (AIEEA-UG-2022) conducted by ICAR is re-scheduled to be held on 21st May (Saturday), 2022 and for Post-Graduate (AIEEA-PG- 2022) + Ph.D. admissions and award of SRF(PGS) on 22nd May (Sunday), 2018.
The online applications for 21 st All India Entrance Examination for Admission to Undergraduate (AIEEA-UG-2022), Post-graduate (AIEEA-PG-2022) and Doctoral degree programmes [AICE-SRF(PGS)-2022] are likely to be invited after the 2nd week of April, 2018. ICAR-JRF (PGS) Duration:
- Duration of ICAR-JRF (PGS) will be two years and in no case it will be extended beyond the period of two years.
ICAR JRF Exam 2022 Eligibility
- Only those candidates having passed their Bachelor’s Degree or appearing at the Final Examination of the Bachelor’s Degree in the concerned field, under 10+2+5, 10+2+4 or 10+2+3 (only for basic science subjects) are eligible to apply for admission.
AGE Limit
- Minimum age limit shall be 19 years as on the date of the examination. No relaxation is admissible regarding minimum age limit.
ICAR JRF Exam Pattern
- There will be only one question paper in each major subject group consisting of 150 multiple-choice (MCQ), objective type questions, and also 10 cross-matching type questions. The question papers will be in ENGLISH only.
- For each incorrect answer in MCQs, one mark will be deducted from the total score, while for each incorrect crossmatching type sub-question/pairing, 0.2 marks will be deducted from the total score
ICAR JRF Exam Syllabus
- The examination shall have one question paper for each of the 20 major subject-groups, consisting of 150 multiple-choice, objective type questions, each with four options and also 10 cross-matching type questions, each having five sub-questions/pairings for every subject-group paper.
- In each subject-group, 150 multiple choice,objective type questions would be serially numbered from 1-150 whereas 10 cross-matching type questions would be serially numbered from 151-160.
- Marking scheme: Each correctly answered multiple-choice, objective type question will earn four marks whereas each correctly answered cross-matching type question will earn 5 marks (1 mark for each correct pairing) with a maximum of 650 marks for each major subject-group paper.
- For each incorrectly answered multiple-choice, objective type question, one mark would be deducted from the total score whereas for each incorrectly answered cross-matching type sub-question/pairing, 0.2 marks would be deducted from the total score.
- Question with no response indicated will not be awarded any mark and there will be no negative marking for that question. The candidates are advised not to attempt such questions in the OMR answer sheet, for which they are not sure of the correct answer.

ICAR JRF 2022 Result
- After, all the Question Booklets and OMR Response Sheets are received by the University the evaluation shall be done using OMR machine.
- After evaluation, result shall be declared Rank-wise, Roll No. wise and category wise.Overall merit rank list shall be prepared separately for every major subject group.
In the event of candidates getting equal marks in the Entrance examination, relative merit
will be determined on the basis of marks obtained in the qualifying Bachelor degree examination.
- The Ranking shallbe solely based on the result of ICAR JRF 2022 and shall not be valid for admission.
- The result of the AIEEAPG 2022 is likely to be declared after 3rd week of May 2022 and will be placed on ICAR website.
ICAR JRF Admit Card 2022
- The University will provide the facility of downloading Admit Cards of ICAR JRF 2022, along with a certificate which would be dully signed and attested from either Dean of the College last attended or a Gazetted Officer.
- Candidates are required to download ICAR JRF admit cards from the websiteand follow the instructions given therein. Candidate may please note that ICAR JRF 2022 admit cards will not be sent by the post.
- The Admit Card, in duplicate, has been provided along with the Application Form.
