BMRC Train Operator Recruitment 2016 Eligibility:

Minimum educational qualification for BMRC Recruitment 2016 for the Maintainer, Train Operator, Section Engineer posts is given below.

Age Limit:

• For General Merit candidates – 35 years
• For SC/ST/ Cat I candidates – 40 years (35 yrs plus 5 yrs)
•  For candidates under Cat IIa, IIb, IIIa, III b – 38 years.(35 yrs plus 3 yrs)

Age relaxation:

• For Ex-servicemen, the relaxation in age shall be equivalent to the number of years of service in armed forces plus 3 years, but in any case the maximum age not to exceed 50 years as on 11.7.2016.

BMRC Train Operator Recruitment 2016 Selection Process:

• The selection will be made strictly as per merit, on the basis of written examination. Short listed candidates will be called for verification of the original documents and Kannada test followed by Medical Fitness Test, if cleared in the verification and Kannada test. There shall be no negative marking in the written examination.

BMRC Train Operator Exam Pattern & Syllabus 2016

• The syllabus for the written examination will be generally in conformity with the educational standards and/or technical qualifications prescribed for the posts.

BMRC Train Operator Exam Questions Paper 2016

• Post of Maintainers– 25 questions on general topics, 15 questions on mathematics at SSLC level, 15 questions on Electrical topics, 15 questions on mechanical topics, 15 questions on Electronics, and 15 questions on Civil / Carpentry topics.

• Post of Train Operators– 25 questions on general topics, 20 questions on electrical topics, 20 questions 4 on electronics, 20 questions on communication and 15 questions on mechanical topics.

• Post of Section Engineers– 25 questions on general topics, 15 questions on computer science, 15 questions on electronics & communication, 15 questions on mechanical, 15 questions on electrical and 15 questions on civil topics.

• The question paper will be of objective type with multiple answers. The question paper will be bilingual i.e. in English and Kannada and the duration of the examination will be for 2 hours with 100 questions. The question paper will also contain writing one paragraph / sentence in Kannada which is compulsory and this will be evaluated at the time of verification of documents only in respect of candidates shortlisted for document verification / Medical Fitness Test. Those who have not reproduced the Kannada passage in the space provided in the OMR sheet or those who fail to read & write the Kannada passage at the time of verification of documents, will be disqualified irrespective of his/her position in the merit list prepared on the basis of the written test.

Medical Fitness Test: – The candidates shortlisted for appointment based on merit in Written Test will have to pass requisite medical fitness test(s) conducted by the BMRCL to ensure that the candidates are medically fit to carry out the duties connected with the post. (Medical fitness test will be as per Railway Medical standards). Visual Acuity Standard is one of the important criteria of medical fitness. It may be noted that candidates qualifying in examination(s) for these posts but failing in prescribed medical examination(s) will not in any case be considered for appointment. The result of the Medical Test conducted shall be final and binding on the candidate and no representation in this regard shall be entertained including for second opinion etc.

BMRC Recruitment 2016 Online Application form

• On-line applications forms are available on BMRCL website : www.bmrc.co.in. Candidates are required to go to BMRCL website and fill up the application online. Detailed instructions regarding filling up of application is given under the heading “How to Apply” at Annexure 1. Please note that no application on paper including hand written or typed will be entertained. For any doubts or difficulty in filling up the application online, candidates may contact BMRCL Help Desk at helpdesk@bmrc.co.in or 080 22969200 during office hours on all the working days.

• Before applying for any post, the candidate should ensure that he/she fulfills all the eligibility norms. The candidate should have the requisite Educational /Technical qualifications as on the closing date of submission of the application. Those awaiting results of the final examination need not apply. The ITI Certificate should be recognized by NCVT/SCVT. The Degree /Diploma should be from an Institute / Organisation recognised by AICTE.

• Candidates possessing qualification in the equivalent stream to the relevant Engineering Degree /Diploma / ITI may apply subject to the condition that they should produce satisfactory documentary proof in support of the equivalence. If such a document is not produced the candidate shall be disqualified irrespective of his /her position in the merit list prepared on the basis of the written test.

• Knowledge of Kannada in all the four attributes viz., reading, speaking, writing & understanding, is compulsory for all the posts. Knowledge of Kannada will be tested at the time of document verification. Those who do not have knowledge of Kannada will be disqualified irrespective of the marks scored in the written test.

Application fee:

• SC/ST candidates – Examination fees – Rs. 300/-.

• GM, Cat I, Cat II a, Cat IIb, Cat IIIa, Cat III b candidates – Examination fee is Rs. 700/-

• After you “submit” the application and note down the application number generated, click on “Print acknowledgement and Make payment” to make payment of exam fees.

• Click on “Make Payment” a screen will appear . Tick terms and conditions, then click on Proceed. A screen will appear, select category for payment. Then Enter application no., name, mobile / landline number and date of birth. Then select mode of payment (net banking / debit card / credit card / challan). Then proceed to make payment by clicking on SUBMIT. [If application no. is wrongly entered the application will get rejected therefore care should be taken to enter application no. correctly].

• In case there is a time gap and the page is refreshed then a screen will appear and you will have to Select Karnataka under State of Corporate/ Institution, and select PSU under type of Corporate / Institution, then click on GO. Then select Bangalore Metro Rail Corporation Limited then click on Submit and proceed thereafter.

• Those who are making payment at SBI Branches (through Challan) should take a print out of challan and pay the fees at the nearest SBI branch. All SBI branches shall start accepting the challan from 13.6.2016. The last date for payment of application fee by all modes is 12.7.2016.
