BSF Group ‘B’ & ‘C’ of Water Wing Recruitment 2016 Physical Standard
BSF Group ‘B’ & ‘C’ of Water Wing Recruitment 2016 Selection Procedure
The selection procedure will be as follows:-
(a) Written Examination.
(b) Documentation
(c) Physical Measurement
(d) Physical Efficiency Test (Qualifying)
(e) Trade Test (Qualifying)
(f) Medical Examination.
Selection procedure will be held in two phases which are as under:-
First Phase
- (i) Written Examination:- The written examination will be conducted at the selection centres which will be communicated separately. There will be one composite paper for two hour duration from respective discipline and will be “OBJECTIVE TYPE WITH MULTIPLE CHOICE”.
Second Phase
Those candidates declared pass in the written examination (first phase) will appear in the second phase at the following centers.
Second Phase as follows-
- Documentation and Physical measurement
- Physical Efficiency Test
Candidates are required to qualify following events:-
1 Mile Race – 08 Minutes
High Jump – 3 Feet 06 Inches (03 attempts)
Long Jump – 11 Feet – (03 attempts)
- Trade Test (in respective trade):- Only qualifying in nature
- Medical Examination
The medical examination will be held immediately after completion of trade test at the respective centres. Medical standards are as follows:
(i) Vision: Minimum distant vision should be N6& N9 of both eyes. Visual correction of
any kind is not permitted (i.e without wearing glasses).
(ii) Must pass CP III by ISIHARA colour vision test.
(iii) Must not have knock knee, flat foot or squint in eyes. Must not have any defect or deformity which likely to interfere with the efficient performance of the duties.
(iv) Any candidate with a small engraving/tattoo of name of religious symbol on the inner face of the arms or hands is permitted for enrolment.
(v) Candidates having permanent tattoo on any other part of the body will be debarred for recruitment in BSF.
(v) Candidates will be allowed to appear for next event only after qualifying the previous event.

- The last date of receipt of application in respect of candidates belonging to areas of
North Eastern State, Ladakh division of J&K, Sikkim, Pangi Sub division of Chamba, Lahaul
& Spiti district of Himachal Pradesh, Andaman and Nicobar and Lakshdweep Islands is
within 45 days from the date of publication of this Advertisement in Employment News’
- The applications should be accompanied with attested copies of certificates of proof
of age, education qualification, technical qualification, experience in trade. caste/hill areas
(Domicile), wherever applicable. Candidates are permitted to apply for only one post.
Multiple applications shall be summarily rejected.
- Three recent passport size photographs should be attached to the application. One
each photograph to be affixed on the application form and admit card and third one to be
kept in record. Two self-addressed envelopes with postal stamps worth Rs,39/- each
should also be attached with the application form. The envelope containing application
must be super scnbed in bold letters as “APPLICATION FOR THE POST OF

Application Fees
- Each application should be accompanied by a Demand Draft/Postal Order for Rs. 50/- (Fifty) as examination fee in favour of the addressee to whom the application is addressed, payable at respective SBI/Post Office at the location or nearby station, However, fee is exempted for candidates belonging to Scheduled Caste, Scheduled Tribe, BSF Candidates, Ex-Servicemen.
