SPSC Junior Engineer Civil Recruitment 2016 Eligibility

Minimum educational qualification for SPSC Recruitment 2016 for the Junior Engineer (Civil) posts is given below.

  • Diploma in Civil Engineering (LCE) from a recognized Engineering Institution or equivalent and above.
  • In accordance with Notification No: 44/GEN/DOP dt: 27.10.2015 candidates who are in the final/semester of the prescribed course shall be accepted provided such candidates have cleared all the previous semesters at the time of submission of applications and subject to submission of the final year results on or before the date specified by the Sikkim Public Service Commission before interview. Non-submission of the proof of essential educational qualification by prescribed date shall make the application of such candidates liable to be rejected without assigning any reason thereof.

Other requisites:-

  • Candidate must be in possession of either Sikkim Subject Certificate or Identification Certificate issued by the Competent Authority under relevant orders of the State Government.
  • Should have knowledge of any of the State Language viz.
    Nepali/Sikkimese/Bhutia/Lepcha/Limboo.
  • Should have valid Local Employment Card.
  • Should be conversant with the customs and usages of Sikkim.

Age Limit

  • Should have attained the age of 18 years, but should not have exceeded 30 years as on 31/07/2016.
  • The upper age limit for the candidates belonging to Bhutia – Lepcha, Scheduled Caste, Scheduled Tribes (Limboo – Tamang), Primitive Tribe is 35 years, Other Backward Classes (Central List) is 34 years and Other Backward Classes (State List) is 33 vide Notification No. M(135)/12/GEN/DOP dated 27th May, 2015.

  • Applicants need to submit all the required documents. However, the applicant should ensure that they are qualified on the date of application in all respect. Applicants will not be intimated by the SPSC for any discrepancy or disqualification at personal level. However, those applicants whose forms are found to be incomplete in any manner will be summarily rejected, so all applicants are advised to ensure that they are qualified for the post.

  • Those candidates who had applied for the post of J.E. (Civil) in the Sikkim Public Service
    Commission as per our earlier advertisement No. 15/SPSC/2015 dated: 21.03.2015, need not apply again. But they should submit all relevant documents and should confirm their status if they are applying as direct candidate.
  • The candidates should downloaded Application form from www.spscskm.gov.in The
    form should be filled up by the candidate himself/herself and submitted in the office of the Sikkim Public Service Commission on any working day between 10:30 a.m. to 03:00 p.m. on production of original Bank Receipt of State Bank of Sikkim, for Rs. 150/- credited to ‘0051-SPSC’. The amount so deposited shall not be refunded or adjusted against any other purpose.
Last date for submission of filled-in application form is 30/09/2016.
  • Complete application form accompanied by (1) attested copies of Class X Mark
    sheets/Certificate containing Date of Birth. (2) Diploma Mark Sheet/ Diploma Certificate awarded by the Board/University (3) Valid Local Employment Card issued by the appropriate authority of the Government of Sikkim, (4) Certificate of Identification/Sikkim Subject Certificate (5) Category Certificate and (6) No Objection Certificate from the Appointing Authority/ Head of Department.
