SLET NE Exam 2017

  • The State Level Eligibility Test 2017 (North East) Region will be conducted in the month of November to recruitment and join candidates for Assistant Professors in the Universities of Assam, Manipur, Mizoram, Tripura, Arunachal Pradesh and Sikkim.

SLET NE (North East) 2017 Exam Date

  • Every year Assam (N E Region) Gopinath Bordoloi Nagar – 781014 conducted State Level Eligibility Test North East (SLET-NE) Exam in the month of November. Last year it was conducted on 15th November 2015.
  • Next / Upcoming Date Of Examination : Mid of November.

SLET NE Online Application Form 2017

  • The  submission of Online application form through website can be made from July 2017.
  • The Assam SET 2017 Advertisement Notification will be available ONLINE on  the  websites www.sletne.org
  • Candidates are advised to read carefully this information brochure, check their eligibility and applicable reservation category etc. before filling and submitting the application.
  • The candidates will have to submit applications through on-line system. Details procedure of submission of application Form, syllabus of different subjects and application form are uploaded in the web-site www.sletne.org and www.sletonline.in.
  • Fees:  1200.00 for General candidates, OBC (Non Creamy Layer) — Rs. 1050.00, SC/ST — Rs. 1000.00, PWD — Rs. 800.00.

  • The candidates whose post-graduation subject is not covered in the list of subjects in item no. “C” may appear in UGC NET CSIR NET.

SLET NE Exam Pattern 2017

  • Except for the language paper, the medium of the test will be English. The medium of language paper will be the language concerned. The SET will be conducted in a objective mode. There will be no negative marking.
  • Response Sheet (Optical Mark Reader -OMR) has been provided with the question paper for indicating your answer. This Response Sheet (OMR) has serial numbers of questions printed on it. Each question number is followed by 4 CIRCLES marked as (A) (B) (C) and (D).

SLET NE Syllabus 2017

  • Presently, the Commission has accepted the syllabus of the NET conducted by the UGC and the CSIR. Syllabus will be provided along with the application form.

SLET Eligibility 2017

  • Eligibility: Master’s Degree in a relevant subject with at least 55% Marks (50% Marks in respect of SC/ST/PH/VH Candidates) or an equivalent grade preceded by at least a Second Class 3-year Bachelor’s degree from an  Indian University  /institution  recognized by UGC or an equivalent degree from a Foreign University.
  • Candidates pursuing Post Graduate courses are also eligible to appear at SET subject to the condition that they must obtain their Post Graduate degree with 55% or 50% marks, whichever is applicable, within two years from the date of holding of the SET.
  • There is no upper age limit for appearing at the SET. However, for the purpose of recruitment, the relevant Government Order will be applicable.

SLET NE Admit Card 2017

  • The  Assam SET Admit Card for 2017 will be available two weeks ahead of the date of examination. 
  • Test (Application) form can also be downloaded along with the Attendance Slip and Admit Card from the website : www.sletne.org
  • Candidates are requested to download the same by clicking on the icon “Admit Card”, then Enter your application no in the appropriate boxes, and finally choosing the option “Candidate for SET”.

Assam SET Result 2017

  • Minimum marks to be obtained in  for considering a SLET NET  candidate for the Eligibility for Assistant Professor.The candidates are required to obtain following minimum marks separately in Paper-I, Paper-II and Paper-III as given below:

    Step II: Amongst those candidates who have cleared SLET NET step I, a merit list will be prepared subject-wise and category-wise using the aggregate marks of all the three papers secured by such candidates.
