- The State Level Eligibility Test 2022 (North East) Region will be conducted in the month of November to recruitment and join candidates for Assistant Professors in the Universities of Assam, Manipur, Mizoram, Tripura, Arunachal Pradesh and Sikkim.

- Every year Assam (N E Region) Gopinath Bordoloi Nagar – 781014 conducted State Level Eligibility Test North East (SLET-NE) Exam in the month of November. Last year it was conducted on 15th November 2015.

SLET NE Online Application Form 2022
- The submission of Online application form through website can be made from July 2018.
- The Assam SET 2022 Advertisement Notification will be available ONLINE on the websites www.sletne.org
- Candidates are advised to read carefully this information brochure, check their eligibility and applicable reservation category etc. before filling and submitting the application.
- The candidates will have to submit applications through on-line system. Details procedure of submission of application Form, syllabus of different subjects and application form are uploaded in the web-site www.sletne.org and www.sletonline.in.
- Fees: 1200.00 for General candidates, OBC (Non Creamy Layer) — Rs. 1050.00, SC/ST — Rs. 1000.00, PWD — Rs. 800.00.

SLET NE Exam Pattern 2022
- Except for the language paper, the medium of the test will be English. The medium of language paper will be the language concerned. The SET will be conducted in a objective mode. There will be no negative marking.
- Response Sheet (Optical Mark Reader -OMR) has been provided with the question paper for indicating your answer. This Response Sheet (OMR) has serial numbers of questions printed on it. Each question number is followed by 4 CIRCLES marked as (A) (B) (C) and (D).

- Presently, the Commission has accepted the syllabus of the NET conducted by the UGC and the CSIR. Syllabus will be provided along with the application form.
SLET Eligibility 2022
- Eligibility: Master’s Degree in a relevant subject with at least 55% Marks (50% Marks in respect of SC/ST/PH/VH Candidates) or an equivalent grade preceded by at least a Second Class 3-year Bachelor’s degree from an Indian University /institution recognized by UGC or an equivalent degree from a Foreign University.
- Candidates pursuing Post Graduate courses are also eligible to appear at SET subject to the condition that they must obtain their Post Graduate degree with 55% or 50% marks, whichever is applicable, within two years from the date of holding of the SET.
- There is no upper age limit for appearing at the SET. However, for the purpose of recruitment, the relevant Government Order will be applicable.
