TANCET MCA 2018:
- Tamil Nadu Common Entrance Test for MCA conducted by Anna University. Generally TANCET MCA exam held in the month of May. Last year it was held on 16th and 17th May 2018.
Name of the Institution offering the MCA course
- Government, Government Aided Engineering Colleges, Arts and Science Colleges and for the seats surrendered
by the Self-Financing Engineering Colleges, Arts and Science Colleges under the purview of Directorate of Technical Education, Chennai – 25 and Directorate of Collegiate Education, Chennai – 6 including stand-alone Institutions.
TANCET MCA 2018 Eligibility
- A pass in a recognised Bachelor’s degree of minimum 3 years duration with mathematics at 10+2 level or at Graduate level and obtained atleast 50 % (45 % in case of candidates belonging to reserved category) in the qualifying degree examinations.
- (a) 10+2+3/4 Years Pattern
(or) - (b) 10+3 Years diploma + 3 Years Pattern
M.C.A. Lateral Entry
- A pass in a recognised Bachelor’s degree of minimum 3 years duration in BCA, B.Sc. (Information Technology / Computer Science) with mathematics as a course at 10+2 level or at Graduate level and obtained atleast 50 % (45 % in case of candidates belonging to reserved category) in the qualifying degree examinations.

- Test Duration : 2 Hours
- Number of Questions -100
- No. of alternative answers-4
- Mark for every correct answer– 1
- Max. Marks-100
- Negative marks for every wrong answer-1/4
Note:Multiple shading will be considered as wrong answer and 1/4 mark will be deducted.
TANCET MCA 2018 Syllabus
The question paper will have the following sections: A few questions may also be on verbal activity, basic science, etc.
