- The Maharashtra board of secondary education established in January 1, 1966 .This board of education was passed under the Act of Legislature Assembly which is called the Maharashtra Education Act.
- This board was located in Pune. There are some other offices in some District of the State named are Pune, Mumbai, Nagpur and many more. The Board have two main language one is English and another one is Marathi. The Maharashtra Board of education have many affiliated schools. There are nearly 9000 students are examine per year at the secondary level.
- Maharashtra State Board of Secondary and Higher Secondary Education (MSBSHSE) is responsible for conducting SSC and HSC examination and also publishing Maharashtra Board Result.
