PGIMER 2022- Postgraduate Institute of Medical Education and Research (PGIMER) Chandigarh will conduct conducts national level PGIMER 2022 entrance exam for admission to various postgraduate courses in MD/MS and MDS. PGIMER Chandigarh was conceived and planned in 1960 to provide state of art facilities to students in medical education and research.
PGIMER 2022:
- PGIMER 2022 Advertisement notification published on August, Last Year it was announced on 8th August 2015. Information Bulletin will be available after 15 days of the advertisement.
PGIMER Exam Date 2022:
- Applications are invited through countrywide advertisement in leading newspapers usually during September/October and March/April for the January and July session respectively. The entrance examination is held in December for the January session and in the June for July session.
PGIMER Application Form 2022:
- The submission of PGIMER 2022 On-Line application form through website can be made from July. pgimer.edu.in
- The PGIMER 2022 Information Brochure will be available ON LINE on the websites.
- Candidates are advised to read carefully PGIMER 2022 information brochure, check their eligibility and applicable reservation category etc. before filling and submitting the application.

PGIMER Eligibility 2022:
- To be eligible for admission to MD/MS Courses at the Institute, candidates Candidates must have passed MBBS, or its equivalent qualification, from a University/Institute recognized by the Medical Council of India (MCI)Candidates must have either completed, or due to complete, one year rotatory internship training on or before and December 31 for January 2015 session and June 30 for July 2015 session Candidates must be registered with Central /State Medical Registration Council
PGIMER Syllabus / Exam Pattern
- MD/MS Courses Candidates are assessed at a formal entrance-test on the basis of a suitably designed Multiple Choice Questions (MCQ) type theory paper. For candidates appearing for MD/MS entrance examination, the theory paper consists of 250 questions pertaining to subjects studied during the MBBS course viz. Medicine and Surgery (36 questions each), Obstetrics and Gynaecology (18 questions), Paediatrics, Ophthalmology, Orthopaedic Surgery, Microbiology, Pathology, Pharmacology, ENT and Applied Biochemistry (12 questions each), and six questions each in Anatomy, Forensic Medicine, Dermatology, Anaesthesia, Physiology, Psychiatry, Social & Preventive Medicine, Radio diagnosis and Radiotherapy. The examination is of three hours duration and there is negative marking. The assessment is objective and free of human bias and subjectivity. The result of the entrance examination is declared within 24 hours and is computerised.
- DM/M.Ch Courses: Selection of candidates is made on the basis of suitably designed MCQ type theory paper. Theory examination is of one and half-hour duration. There is negative marking for wrong answers.
- MDS Course: Selection of candidates is made on the basis of theory examination consisting of 100 multiple-choice questions. The duration of examination is one and half-hours.
- There is not any negative marking for wrong answers.

PGIMER Result 2022:
- The PGIMER 2022 result will be declared corresponding to the date mentioned in the admission brochure. The result of only qualified candidates will be declared. The qualifying mark is 55 percentile for Open (General) and Sponsored/Deputed category candidates.
PGIMER 2022 Admit Card
- The admit card of PGIMER 2022 for MD/MD or MDS exam will be issued to only those candidates whose application is found complete in all respects. The admit will have the candidate’s detail like name, roll number, exam center, time and examination instructions.
