This Board was formed on 1st May 1960 to provide quality education to all students of Gujarat state. The main head-office of GSEB is situated in Gandhinagar and it is responsible for the promotion & development of School education around the Gujarat state. Every year, the Gujarat Secondary and Higher Secondary Education Board (GSEB) conduct two very important state level exams for every affiliated school across the Gujarat state.
These examinations are called:–
- The Secondary School Certificate (SSC) Examination for Class 10th Students in March-April.
- The Higher Secondary Certificate (HSC) Examination for Class 12th Students in March-April.
