- In accordance with the guidelines of the U.G.C., the Government of West Bengal, Higher Education conducting the State Eligibility Test (SET) 2015. The U.G.C. has accredited the West Bengal College Service Commission (WBCSC) as the State Agency of the West Bengal Government.
WB SET 2022 Exam Date
- Every year West Bengal College Service Commission (WBCSC) conducted WB SET exam in the month of December. Last year it was conducted on 14th December 2014.

WB SET 2022 Application Form:
- The WB SET submission of On-Line application form through website can be made from September.
- The WB SET 2022 Advertisement Notification will be available ON LINE on the websites www.wbcsc.ac.in.
- Candidates are advised to read carefully this information brochure, check their eligibility and applicable reservation category etc. before filling and submitting the application.
- Application form is available on www.examinationonline.in/wbcscportal/ with a link SET 2015. Candidates have to fill up the form online only. Application submitted in any other form will not be accepted.
- Fees: Rs. 700/-(plus Rs. 40/- as Bank Charge) for General candidates or Rs. 350/- ( plus Rs. 40/- as Bank Charge) for SC/ST/OBC/PH/VH Candidates.

- Applications are invited from eligible Candidates for the eighteenth State Eligibility Test ( SET) for the posts of Assistant Professors and Librarians in Universities and Colleges of West Bengal in the following Subjects:
- English(01), Bengali(02), Sanskrit(03), Hindi(04), Urdu(05), Commerce(06), Economics(07), History(08), Philosophy(09), Political Science(10), Education(11), Chemical Sciences(12), Geography(13), Life Sciences(14), Mathematical Sciences(15), Physical Sciences(16), Sociology(17), Psychology(18), Library & Information Science(19), Physical Education(20), Electronic Science(21), Computer Science and Applications(22) and Home Science(23)
- The candidates whose post-graduation subject is not covered in the list of subjects in item no. “C” may appear in UGC NET/CSIR NET.

Eligibility WB SET 2022
- Eligibility: Master’s Degree in a relevant subject with at least 55% Marks (50% Marks in respect of SC/ST/PH/VH Candidates) or an equivalent grade preceded by at least a Second Class 3-year Bachelor’s degree from an Indian University /institution recognized by UGC or an equivalent degree from a Foreign University.
- Candidates pursuing Post Graduate courses are also eligible to appear at SET subject to the condition that they must obtain their Post Graduate degree with 55% or 50% marks, whichever is applicable, within two years from the date of holding of the SET.
- There is no upper age limit for appearing at the SET. However, for the purpose of recruitment, the relevant Government Order will be applicable.

- The on-line Admit Cards will be available two weeks ahead of the date of examination.
- The Admit Cards for SET 2015 have already been uploaded in our portal www.examinationonline.in/wbcscportal.
- Admit Card is now available. Candidates should download the admit card before the SET 2015 exam i.e. on 6th December. Check the above link and download it.
- Candidates are requested to download the same by clicking on the icon “Login for Applicants”, then typing their registration number and password in the appropriate boxes, and finally choosing the option “Candidate for SET”.

WB SET Result 2022:
- Minimum marks to be obtained in WB SET for considering a candidate for the Eligibility for Assistant Professor.The candidates are required to obtain following minimum marks separately in Paper-I, Paper-II and Paper-III as given below:

WB SET 2015 Certificate:
- Candidates who will be qualified in WB SET 2015 that they did not receive the e-certificate by e-mail due to various reasons. All of them are requested to send their complaints to wbcscfeedback@gmail.com . Those who have already sent the complaint mail to this mail id need not send it again.
- Candidates should specifically mention their currently active mail-ids where the e-certificate shall have to be re-sent.
